Wood Dream - Interpretation and Meaning

Wood Dream Meaning:

To dream of wood indicates that you may be feeling emotionless or dead inside. Your behavior is too automated. You are not fully thinking things through. You may just be going through the motions of your walking life, or acting without spending time to consider the repercussions of your actions. Alternatively, the dream may be a pun on "getting wood" or sexual arousal.

To dream that you are carving or shaping a piece of wood indicates a power-giving act or creative gesture. You are molding or shaping the course of your own life. Alternatively, the carved wood symbolizes spirituality and vital energy.

In general, wood represents ideas, opinions, habits, that have become a fixed part of your nature. Just as the tree is originally green and supple but becomes hard and fixed as solid wood, so our opinions and attitudes, as they develop, are first pliable, then often become rigid.

In which case, unless these habits and ideas allow for further growth, the life principle which ever seeks further development, is either repressed, or leaves the old wood to rot. Thus, an old dying tree trunk symbolises parts of self no longer capable of adapting to incoming ideas and experiences.

However, a wood, or collection of trees, has quite a different significance. In folklore and myth, the symbol is used a great deal. So the wood can represent relaxation, or a journey into yourself.

At the spiritual level wood is understood in the dream as a manifestation of the mind. If the wood is still raw in the dream, and it stands with the free nature in connection, the dreaming must practice a certain control of his mind.
